AECOM is seeking a
Consulting Engineer - Commercial Grade Dedication to be based in our
Aiken, SC office.
Consulting Engineer - Commercial Grade Dedication is responsible for providing engineering guidance, calculations, analysis, studies and recommendations for a specialized segment of engineering within schedule and budget of an assigned project. Additional responsibilities may be assigned according to the needs of the company, project, or contract.
Implement the CGD process for the procurement of nuclear safety (SC/SS) items/services in accordance with ASME NQA-1 and applicable site procedures/guides (1Q, E7, 3E).
Lead the CGD team to ensure consistent and compliant execution of the dedication process.
Report to SRR Engineering Program Manager
Interface with internal and external stakeholders to address programmatic issues and initiate corrective actions.
Monitor and trend the performance of CGD for process improvements.
Facilitate the procurement of SC/SS items/services as the RE.
Originate, review and approve CGD documentations including RIE/CGD, MSR, and RICP.
Develop, review and/or approve procurement level 1 or 2 requisitions as the Procurement Specification Authority (PSA).
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline or the sciences from a four year accredited college or university;
A minimum of 10 years Commercial Grade Dedication engineering experience and/or nuclear procurement experience;
Must be capable in performing CGD Plan development to include Technical Evaluation:
Identify end use application of replacement items/services
Determine technical baseline impact (e.g., Like-for-Like; Equivalent; Alternate; New)
Identify safety function(s) and safety bases impact
Evaluate credible failure modes and effects
Determine Critical Characteristics (CC) for acceptance
Document CGD Technical Evaluation
Address and resolve any CGD Plan review comments
Skilled in reviewing and approving Material Service Request (MSR);
Practiced in supporting the CGD Acceptance Process;
Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be US Citizen.
- Prior URS/AECOM experience in a lead/supervisory role highly recommended.
This position is not eligible for relocation benefits.
Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
