Job Summary

AECOM has an exciting opportunity for an experienced

Senior Project Coordinator in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

The successful candidate will provide business support for the NWP National TRU (NTP) Program Project Services Manager and NTP Control Account Managers. The results oriented candidate will be responsible for detailed and independent analysis of costs, budgets and funding for NTP CBFO-funded and funded-by-others projects. They will work independently and have responsibility for completion of specialized and varied business initiatives that require advanced problem resolution, research, planning, organizing, and executing from inception to completion.

Independently coordinate and interface with NTP managers, Contracts, Procurement, Accounting, and Project Integration organizations to support NTP projects and contracts, develop and monitor project budgets, schedules, resource management, and develop estimates in a fast paced environment. The successful candidate will analyze data and identify trends, and recommend solutions to issues or concerns. Support NTP control account managers in preparing variance explanations, accruals, responding to various budget exercises. This resourceful, self-starter will work in a fast paced environment and be committed to meeting both planned and emerging project deadlines.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or a related field with six (6) years of related experience, or

  • Associate’s degree with ten (10) years of related experience, or

  • High School Diploma or GED with fourteen (14) years of related experience is required.

  • Must have the fundamental knowledge of planning and control principles and techniques.

  • Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be US Citizens.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an M&O governmental accounting, contracts, procurement, or project controls environment.

  • Project Management Professional Certification is a plus.

  • Previous WIPP experience preferred.
