Position Title Senior Digital ASIC Engineer

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Digital ASIC Engineer to support the Flight Systems and Platforms contract at NSWC Crane.

Perform as a lead and expert on the most complex engineering assignments in management, technical and administrative direction planning and overseeing digital circuit design evaluation, circuit analysis, and reverse engineering.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform a range of design development, analysis, or review tasks independently providing supervision of contributing engineers.

  • Responsible for complete designs, analyses, or design reviews independently or as the team leader.

  • Assess current and future state of radiation hardened development infrastructure of ASIC .

  • Provide technical support and recommendations to design personnel to develop proficiency.

  • May lead engineering teams and act as a mentor to engineering team members.

  • May train other engineers on technical issues related to the research, design, development, testing and analysis of engineering assignments related to ASICs.

  • Support parts program Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) efforts through direct and indirect evaluation and application of IV&V plans.

  • Assist with analysis and use of radiation-enabled models.

  • Perform assessment of on-shore board-level simulation tools.

  • Provide new radiation-enabled models for components in an existing model design.


Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related scientific field and at least 10 years of job-related experience or equivalent is required. Demonstrated capability to interface with customers and provide direction to technically qualified personnel is preferred. Excellent communications and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs. Positions will require the ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software. Position may require travel. Position will require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer integrated circuit digital design experience. Proficiency with commercial Electronic Design Automation tools. Familiarity with embedded processor based designs. Ability to develop test software and understanding of serial protocols.
