AECOM is seeking an innovative and dynamic Administrative Assistant to join our team in Norfolk, VA. The successful candidate will be part of a team that processes Technical feedback Reports (TFBRs) for the U.S. Navy’s Planned Maintenance System (PMS). Primary job is to edit Maintenance Index Pages (MIPs) and Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs) as directed by In-Service Engineering Agents (ISEAs), who are the subject matter experts, to meet current Naval Sea Logistics Center (NLSC) Planned Maintenance System (PMS) guidelines. Candidate must attend and complete the NAVSEA 04RM Reliability-Centered Maintenance Level-1 and Level-2 certification courses, if not already certified. This allows/authorizes the candidate to develop new or edit existing MIPs/MRCs for the Fleet. Candidate will learn the use of several Departments of the Navy (DoN) secure websites to obtain necessary resources in the performance of their duties. Candidate will be trained on the use of Navy PMS Editor, which is the program used to edit/create new MRCs and MIPs.
Work with primary customer, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD), Code 316 in updating Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) submarine force MRCs and MIPs from our Groton, CT office. Occasionally perform “Ship Checks” on behalf of the ISEAs onboard submarines assigned to Groton SUBASE. Candidate will be required to work with fellow AECOM employees and DoN Government customers such as NSWCPD Code 316, ISEAs, NSLC Commodity Specialists, NAVSEA PMS399 Technical Representatives, and submarine Type Commanders (TYCOM/SUBMEPP) Representatives.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 4 years of prior related experience.
Requires working knowledge of commonly used PC applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
Good written communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
Position may require occasional travel.
Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Former U.S. Navy experience in the Machinist’s Mate or Electrician’s Mate Specialty Fields
Familiarity with the Navy Planned maintenance System (PMS).
NAVSEA 04RM Reliability-Centered Maintenance Level-1 and Level-2 certified is a plus.
