AECOM is actively seeking Assessments Directors (AD) to support SWRMC Code 211. The position is located at SWRMC in San Diego, CA.
As an ICMP planner
Prepare for assessments onboard Navy surface ships and submarines by collating data from the ICMP, and helping to develop assessment test plans.
Assist with resource provision to execute assessments.
Analyze metrics and develop new metrics to support maintenance and maintainability improvement initiatives.
Devising, implementing, and maintaining standardized engineering approaches for pre- and post-overhaul equipment and system testing plans, procedures, and assessment programs.
Managing and coordinating assessment programs.
Review repair and modernization advance planning procedures.
Develop statistical documentation and perform engineering studies for maintenance, engineering issues and assessment programs for a combination of equipment, systems, ships and ship classes.
Provide engineering solutions to specific shipboard equipment problems when required.
Develop and/or utilize automated data systems to manage Fleet assessment support.
As an AD :
Coordinate assessments and expert diagnostics to shipboard equipment and system malfunctions on active ships pier side and underway for the purpose of finding root cause and best course of action to restore to full operational condition.
Develop root cause analysis and recommended action reports.
Act as an advisor to these other commands and Naval ships on matters pertaining to ship availability advance planning, assessments, and program management techniques including operation, test, repair, and maintenance engineering.
Prepare ships for deployment as part of the TSRA program.
At least ten years technical experience and be currently qualified as and serving as an Assessment Director at a Regional Maintenance Center.
Excellent communication and analytical skills; must have keen project management skills.
Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs.
Position will require travel.
Position requires a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
SWRMC Assessment Director who has experience as an ICMP planner and completed qualification process.
Prior experience as engineers or technicians serving in the U.S. Navy at the E-6 or above level; prior experience with assessment teams, or project management preferred .
