Job Summary

Nuclear Waste Partnership, an LLC of AECOM, is seeking an experienced

Senior Human Resources Generalist in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

The successful candidate will administer human resources policies and programs to support Corporate and departmental objectives. Perform duties of a complex nature in employee benefits administration such as disability and FMLA administration and recordkeeping, applying comprehensive knowledge of established policies and procedures. Maintain awareness of changes in Federal and state laws, regulations and guidelines that apply to employee benefits and other areas within Human Resources. Compile and analyze statistical information from variety of internal and external sources. Analyze and interpret information to prepare variety of complex reports and plans, including but not limited to Diversity and Affirmative Action Plans. Recommend innovative programs to management to enhance positive employee relations. Provide counsel to employees and management on variety of human resources issues and concerns, including matters related to employee separations, retirement overviews, and death claim processing. The successful candidate will also perform additional general support, including performance of special projects, in support of the Human Resources department including responsibility for development and submission of contract deliverables.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or other related field plus six (6) years of relevant experience, or

  • Associate’s degree plus ten (10) years of related experience, or

  • High School Diploma or GED with fourteen (14) years of experience.

  • Demonstrated success in administration of employee benefit programs, or administrative support programs that are employee related and supportive of a human resources function deemed acceptable by the Company.

  • Must have demonstrated attention to detail.

  • Must be able to exercise a high level of independent judgment.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, diverse environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to support employees in access to and use of their health and welfare benefits programs.

  • Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be US Citizens.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Candidates with six (6) or more years of experience are preferred.

  • Formal training and certification as a benefit professional is desired.

  • Other human resources generalist experience such as salary planning, employee relations, labor relations and human resources database administration is a plus.

  • ADP software and Oracle or SQL database experience is preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience with applications such as Microsoft Office, HR/Payroll software and time reporting software is a plus.

  • Previous WIPP experience is preferred.
