Position Title Cyber Security Analyst

Job Summary

Perform network administration such as monitoring access, observing and controlling the status and performance of all network components. Identify, diagnose and resolve problems affecting network performance.

Essential Responsibilities:


Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with internal security policies and practices outlined in the security plan.


Ensure all users have the requisite security clearances, authorization, and need-to-know, and are aware of their security responsibilities before granting access to the IS.


Initiate with the approval of the IAM (Information Assurance Manager) and Security Officer, protective or corrective measures when a security incident or vulnerability is discovered.


Develop and maintain all SSP (System Security Plan)s/(System Security Authorization Agreement) SSAAs.


Ensure configuration ware, hardware, and management (CM) for security-relevant IS software, hardware, and firmware is maintained and documented.


Ensure that system recovery processes are monitored to ensure that security features and procedures are properly restored.


Ensure all IS security-related documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals.


Formally notify the IAM/PSO when a system no longer processes information.


Formally notify the IAM/PSO when changes occur that might affect accreditation.


Ensure that system security requirements are addressed during all phases of the system life cycle.


Follow procedures developed by the ISSM (Information System Security Manager)/(Program Security Officer)PSO, authorizing software, hardware, and firmware use before implementation on systems.


Position may require travel.


Minimum Requirements

Requires Bachelor’s Degree in an Information Technology related discipline (engineering, computer science, information systems, etc) plus 6 years of IT/IA experience or at least 10 years of experience in lieu of degree in a combination of IA Training, IT Certification and progressive work experience in the areas of DoD Certification and Accreditation, Information System Security, Vulnerability Assessment and Mitigation, Network Administration, Risk Analysts, Network Security Auditing

Possess Hands on experience in the following areas:

  • Lifecycle support of the DoD Certification and Accreditation (C&A) Process (DIACAP or RMF)

  • Managing C&A using Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)

  • Security + certification

  • Must have an active Secret SSBI or Top Secret Clearance
