Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an Engineer for our Greenwood Village, CO location.

  • Perform a variety of engineering assignments in planning, design, construction, test and installation of diverse electronic/mechanical equipment and systems and generally as a member of a design, analysis or review team on more complex assignments or as a lead on less complex assignments.

  • Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform a range of design development, analysis or review tasks under minimal supervision.

  • Act as a lead on less complex tasks and responsible for a portion of a design or section of an analysis or design review.

  • Generate complete design specifications of more complex projects.

  • Coordinate and work closely with other engineering, logistics, financial, and program management disciplines to define system specifications and requirements.

  • Establish and maintain a filing system or databases as needed for tracking project status.

  • Develop, maintain and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications.

  • Direct interface and liaison with customers at all levels from quotation to final design and test activities, design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications.

  • Conduct site visits, experimental investigations and analyze engineering problems, propose solutions and alternatives, and provide recommendations.

  • Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.

  • Support development of technical proposal and provide comments on the technical content and level of effort of the proposed scope of work.

  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor of Science Engineering Degree from a four -year ABET accredited university and at least 5 years of job-related experience or equivalent. Good communications and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs. Position may require travel. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.

  • Must be able to prepare 2D AutoCAD layout drawings for Control Panels and Remote IO panels including bill of materials.

  • Must be able to review/check detail wiring drawings for PLC IO modules and field instrumentation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience and/or knowledge usingthe UL 60947‐4‐1 standard

  • Creating deliverables including P&ID’s, Instrument Lists, IO Lists, Cause and Effect Matrix, Control Narratives, Loop Drawings, Control System Architecture Drawings, instrument datasheets, sizing instrumentation

  • Experience and knowledge of ISA standards

  • Experience with SmartPlant Instrumentation

  • Experience with Revit
