Position Title Facility Security Manager

AECOM is seeking an innovative and dynamic Facility Security Manager to join our team in Groton, Connecticut. The successful candidate will develop, execute, manage, and maintain stand-alone information systems used for the design and development of Instructional Multimedia Instruction (IMI) modules. Manage and maintain the facility’s security clearance (FCL) and direct security measures in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). Tasks and focused responsibilities include Information System security requirements and risk assessments, vulnerability scan, security test and evaluations, monitoring event logs, and maintaining network health and security.
Essential Responsibilities :
Perform all responsibilities and maintains approvals and accreditations as the Information Systems Security Manager.
Ability to maintain a system security plan (SSP).
Execute and maintain FCL and personnel clearance requirements.
Conducting required trainings and briefings in regards to all facility and IS security requirements.
Perform all responsibilities and administrative requirements as a Facility Security Officer.
A.S. Degree in Information Assurance or Minimum 6 years equivalent experience required. Thorough understanding and knowledge of computers and their peripherals and operating systems. This position requires a great degree of self-direction and motivation. Active membership in professional organizations such as NCMS, ASIS, etc. is encouraged. A comprehensive understanding of GSA approved security containers and locks is a plus. Able attend workshops, conferences and training to maintain proficiency. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) a plus.
Possess and able to maintain a SECRET clearance.
Must possess a strong knowledge of computer and software systems.
Must possess thorough working knowledge of the NISPOM and the Defense Security Service (DSS) Assessment and Authorization Process Manual (DAAPM).
Good written communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
Position may require occasional travel.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
