Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Ground Support Equipment Servicer. This position is in support of the Army Aviation and Missile Support Command, Field Support Directorate, Fleet and Logistical Support Directorate (FLSD), Huntsville Alabama.

The Ground Support Equipment Servicer maintains and operates Aviation Ground Support Equipment (GSE); performs service on equipment; makes adjustments; coordinates with other shops for repairs; operates equipment and checks for serviceability and submits required reports. Maintains and services the contractor vehicles.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Maintains and operates Aviation Ground Support Equipment (GSE).

  2. Performs service on equipment.

  3. Makes adjustment and coordinates with other shops for repairs.

  4. Operates equipment and checks for serviceability and submits required reports.

  5. Maintains and services the Contractor vehicles.

Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Other Responsibilities:

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Legal Resident.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.

  • Relevant experience gained in commercial supply position is acceptable.

  • Candidates must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

  • Must have ability to read, interpret and apply technical manual (TM) instructions, publications, and safety rules.

  • Must have ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form is required.

  • Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license and be able to operate a government general-purpose vehicle.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five (5) years related experience working with U.S. Army combat and tactical equipment preferred.
