Position Title Armament Technician
Germany - Baden-Württemberg
This position is located in Mannheim, Germany.
The Armament Technician is responsible for the servicing of all small arms to include the M242 Bushmaster chain driven autocannon. The Armament Technician must be fully trained in the U.S. Army small arms repair, servicing and maintenance and have at least five (5) years of experience working independently as a Master Gunner or equivalent. The Armament Technician must possess, services and maintenance required under this effort. The Armament Technician is required to have a Secret security clearance.
In addition, the Armament Technician’s duties under this job title are to perform field and sustainment maintenance on small arms, infantry weapons and towed artillery; responsible for the direct and general support maintenance; include the M240 series, M320, MK 19, M9, M249, M500, CROW, M4, M16, Remote Weapons Station (RWS), M777A2 Howitzer, and 60mm, 81mm, and 120mm Mortars; responsible for the Clean, Inspect, Service, Repair, Disposition, Evacuation and Movement of all Weapons in support of APS-2.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Accountable for the inspection, maintenance, servicing, repair test and fault diagnosis of electronic and mechanical armament components and systems, and associated explosive ordnance and other weaponry.
Ensures work is performed in accordance with all prescribed safety standards, requirements and regulations.
Applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as; blueprints or manufactures' manuals.
Ensures maintenance standards are in compliance with customer requirements for readiness alert status.
Informs senior management and other appropriate personnel when issues arise which may impede progress toward meeting company or customer requirements.
Ensures return to service on all maintenance performed in accordance with customer requirements.
Ensures work is performed in accordance with technical requirements.
Interfaces with customer as required regarding armament activities.
Provides any required reports or deliverables in a timely manner.
Maintains a safe, respectful and productive work environment.
Maintains a daily time sheet and daily manning report and ensuring times are accurate.
Performs other duties and assignments as required.

At least five (5) years of experience working independently as a Master Gunner or equivalent.
Excellent computer, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required. Computer skills include a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
High School graduate or equivalent.
Security Clearance: Secret.
Must be able to meet and maintain all base access security requirements.
Must be able to meet and maintain all Logistic Information System (LIS) access requirements (Common Access Card).
Specialized knowledge and skills:
Experienced in the using the Army War Reserve Deployment System (AWRDS).
Experienced in the using the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) Unique Logistics Support Applications (TULSA) and Logistics Information Warehouse (LIW).
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
