Position Title Asset Inventory Technician – Electrical

Technicians are responsible for providing technical support to engineering and design staff in a variety of engineering tasks in the completion of asset inventory at the customer site, surveying, data collection, and writing, etc. assistance to area professionals. Selected personnel must be familiar with typical equipment installed as part of the site infrastructure, electrical, and all utilities typically involved with an operation and maintenance. Must have an active TS clearance. Technicians provide professional assistance in the following disciplines: Engineering: Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation and Control, Mechanical, Mechanical Services, Nuclear, Piping, Process (Chemical), and Structural disciplines. Architecture, Science: CAE/CAD, Applied Science, Geology, Hydrology, Geophysics, Environmental Sciences, and Geotechnology.
Works under the direction of a task-responsible professional.
Prepares/completes assigned tasks in conformance with applicable procedure requirements provided by the task supervisor.
Coordinates work with others in discipline group and other discipline groups on the project.
Responsible for neatness and accuracy of work.
Performs physical inventory of installed infrastructure assets, record data particular to each asset item, and capture associated data to accurately scope replacement item or equivalent
Review/Update current MAXIMO data describing installed infrastructure assets, and update recorded data as necessary
Evaluate/Review engineering plans, drawings and CMMS data to aide in the identification and location of infrastructure components, equipment and systems
Under limited direction, may work in a lead position of complex technical work utilizing a wide variety of resources, including computers and under limited supervision.
May train other technicians.
May prepare formal reports on experiments, tests, and other projects.
Provides technical guidance and assistance to less experienced personnel.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Education: High school degree or GED.
Experience: 10 years of experience
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.

Must have an active Top Secret SCI w/ polygraph, fully adjudicated TS/SCI w/poly
High School Diploma or GED
Certified Electrical Technician
Familiar with barcoding, equipment lists, service cycles and associated preventative maintenance (PM) procedures
Familiar with Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) such as SAP, MAXIMO, etc.
10+ years of job-related experience or equivalent
Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or similar software applications
