Position Title ASW Mission Coordinator

Job Summary

Responsible for development, production, and continuous update of written, photographic, audio, video and mixed media training aids and materials for mission planning. Familiarization of air crews with range capabilities, assets, and operational procedures with detailed debriefings. Supports planning and coordination for agencies participating in or supporting training operations on the range complex. Complies with contract requirements and takes action when necessary to correct deficiencies. Attends pre-mission conferences for users and support groups. Coordinates user flight schedules/training requirements with Joint Shallow Water Training Range (JSWTR) training range and warning area availability to ensure maximum utilization of JSWTR. Coordinates ASW training system assets. Communicates daily with aviation units, air control units, airspace/air traffic control agencies and other tactical training system facilities to ensure coordination of necessary participants. Maintains computer database of range utilization, prepares reports of range availability/scheduling/utilization. Develops and presents briefings on capability, operation, and requirements to military and government agencies, to include VIP presentations. Provides for equipment operator training for Range Training Officer (RTO) and other on-site personnel in operation of display consoles. Conducts equipment demonstrations for authorized personnel. Performs RTO functions when user RTOs are not available.

Supports users and support groups in conducting live missions, which includes assistance with developing training scenarios, coordination of Fleet exercises, coordination of training assets. Implements and administers effective, rapid, and comprehensive method of distributing mission scenarios and updates. Ensures mission data reduction support is provided. Includes RTO comment sheets.

Solicits customer feedback and encourages completion of customer surveys. Compiles and retains customer satisfaction data. Develops lessons learned and process improvement initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

  • Six years’ experience in ASW military aviation in one or more of the following areas:

  • ASW

  • Electronic warfare

  • Training range operations

May require current COMSEC certification.

Must possess a valid state Driver’s License.

Must possess a Secret Clearance and maintain an active DoD Security clearance

Must maintain current CPR/First Aid certification.
